Padme Livingstone calls her work Healing with Awareness. She offers secular awareness meditation classes, individualized meditation guidance as well as spiritual guidance, Oneness Blessings and medical qi gong. All are expressions of Padme’s commitment to, and understanding of, the process of healing hearts, minds, and bodies. Padme has a B.S. in Human Services and extensive experience with parenting, relationship skills, energy work, awareness meditation, self-inquiry, caregiving, and bereavement. She was the Meditation Teacher and Qi Gong Therapist at Equipoise, a Rochester, NY complementary health center for two years. Padme now offers instruction on awareness meditation, sittings and teachings at her home in Penfield, personal guidance, leads and co-leads workshops, and gives public talks about awareness as well. Padme also works in the Rochester, NY community to help create a more peaceful world where Restorative Justice replaces Retributive Justice in all areas of relationship, including the self, our families, schools, community, and the justice system. Padme’s book, Let’s Not Call It Meditation: Practical Guidance for People Who Think They Can’t Sit Still and Quiet the Mind is available on this website. Wholesalers can find it listed through Ingram Publishing. She is author of three meditation CDs: Remembering Awareness, Uncovering Compassion, and A Forgiveness Meditation. Padme has contributed to Nature’s Wisdom magazine, espacio-time.com, and edgelife.net. Padme has had a monthly column called Living with Awareness in Edgelife Magazine, as well as in Rutabaga Rap. The column also appeared in New Health Digest for 2 years. Meditation teacher and author, Padme Nina Livingstone has spent much of her life untangling her own confusion, and finding balance for her physical, mental, emotional and spiritual life. After more than 30 years of meditation and self-inquiry, and over 18 years of energy healing work, Padme talks about awareness in a down-to-earth language— to people who want to grow with clarity, compassion, curiosity, honesty, and gratitude so that they can enjoy more of what life has to offer. After losing her husband, Bill, to cancer in May 2011, Padme has been deepening her connection with her life. She has been learning a great deal about being with those parts of herself that can make her life so challenging and powerful during difficult times. Padme invites anyone interested in sharing this journey with her. Classes, sittings, and personal guidance shared during talks and private meetings are some ways to share the journey with Padme, if the way she speaks feels like a fit for you. If not, there are many many other voices pointing in the same direction. May you find all the loving guidance you seek and may you learn to use it to help you be who you really are!
