An Invitation to Feel the Joy of Connection
with Padme Nina Livingstone |
Experience our interdependence
through
dialogue supported by meditation

Our Time Together
1. Silent Meditation
Quietly sitting in openness. Breathing... and wondering, what’s going on within?
2. Sharing-Speaking-Reflection Time
Taking turns, we share what’s alive in us (How do I feel? What am I thinking?) with the group. Listening to each other from our hearts, we speak what we think we heard from one(1)person in the circle. Reflecting, and remembering there’s nothing to fix, we simply speak the best words we have in the moment, offering the other person the value, beauty, and perfection of their presence.
3. Closing
During a final go ‘round, we share whatever our evening’s experience
has brought us. We finish with five (5) minutes of silence.

Padme Livingstone has been offering private awareness meditation and self-inquiry guidance for over ten years. Currently, Padme offers meditation classes at home and through Webster Parks and Recreation. Padme has been practicing NVC for two and a half years (as of January '09) and has found the practice particularly helpful in staying connected and reconnecting with herself and others in times of stress. The practice of Sitting and Speaking Mindfully, originally co-created with NVC friend Judith Lardner, brings alive Padme’s dream of a world where we truly hear each other, connect deeply, and learn to live joyfully.

A few words from Padme...
“We cannot help but notice the mess our world is in. Our deepest desires for peace and justice are often overshadowed by the pain and despair we feel, both in our relationships, as well as for our global community. We may think that all living things are completely interdependent and yet not have an authentic, grounded experience of that fact.
Deepening my relationship with self and others has shown me how important it is to learn more loving communication skills. I believe that it is possible to create a world where we can connect with each other respectfully, with compassion and gratitude.
A reflection practice, supported by meditation, provides us the opportunity to directly experience our interdependence. I feel joyful about a shared opportunity to authentically connect with each other in a way that creates and supports a life sustaining world. Please join us.”
